Neo Metal Sonic freed Froggy and Chocola after copying the needed data.Īt the time Team Sonic and Team Dark defeated the Egg Albatross, Neo Metal Sonic had successfully copied Team Sonic's and Shadow's data, and when Team Rose defeated Neo Metal Sonic in the Egg Emperor, he had copied Chaos' data as well, making him release Froggy and Chocola from captivity. This proved however to work in the favor of Neo Metal Sonic, as he continuously faced the teams while masquerading as Dr. While Neo Metal Sonic only intended to involve Team Sonic, Team Rose, Team Dark, and Team Chaotix entered the conflict as well. At some point, Neo Metal Sonic used his shapeshifting abilities to pass as the real Sonic, and kidnapped Froggy and Chocola in order to obtain their data on Chaos. Eggman and fought Team Sonic on various occasions while copying their data without them knowing. Then, by using his form's shapeshift-abilities, Neo Metal Sonic masqueraded as a robotic Dr. To get the data he needed, Neo Metal Sonic elaborated a plan where he would send Team Sonic on a wild goose-chase to destroy "Dr. Eggman, took control of the Eggman Empire and began seeking out the data needed for him to transform into Metal Overlord. Consequently, Metal Sonic decided to defeat Sonic on his own and conquer the world himself. Some time prior to Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic assumed this form as his frustration over his constants defeats by Sonic the Hedgehog's hands reached the boiling point. He also sports a spiky belt with a black cape that protrudes out of the back of his waist. He also possesses more pronounced body armor, with black and curved shoulder plates, larger gauntlets and leg armor with pointy knee caps that have white outlines, a plate covering his pelvis and elf-like shoes. The yellow color in his ears has been replaced with red and his nose is now black. His head has five long quills as opposed to his regular three, with white stripes and markings around his eyes, similar to that of Shadow's. Neo Metal Sonic was based on the transformation of the same name in the video game, Sonic Heroes.Neo Metal Sonic shares some distinctive traits with his normal form, such as black eyes with red irises, similar torso with a rocket engine, and the primary blue color with red shoes, but he has a number of differences too.Neo Metal Sonic has the ability to shapeshift, as seen when he nearly fooled Breezie that he was Dr. Neo Metal Sonic shapeshifting from Eggman's form to his true form. Super Sonic, along with a super-charged Miles "Tails" Prower and Knuckles the Echidna, were able to defeat the robot, returning him to his original powered down form. Metal's plan was later discovered, but by then he was ready to use the gathered data to transform into Metal Madness and then Metal Overlord. When Metal threatened to harm her should she warn Sonic, she brushed him off and the two apparently shared something of a relationship. Breezie recognized Metal as an imposter due to his actions, as Eggman wouldn't be so generous. During this time, he confronted Breezie the Hedgehog, building Casino Park for her as part of her new financial empire under his Eggman disguise. With a completely self-upgraded AI, complete with an independent personality, Metal Sonic devised a plan to copy the lifeform data of Sonic and his friends, a task he accomplished by kidnapping his former master Eggman and using metallic copies of him to fool the heroes.
